BLUESEA ANTI-MALVERTISING POLICY
Last Revised on: December 18, 2024.
The following Bluesea Anti-Malvertising Policy(referred as “Anti-Malvertising Policy” or “Policy”) set forth standards that govern Bluesea’s relationship with its Demand Partners.
BlueSea is committed to providing a transparent, brand-safe, and user-friendly advertising marketplace. As an independent Ad Exchange (ADX), we maintain strict ad quality standards, robust technical enforcement measures, and a comprehensive compliance framework to protect publishers, advertisers, and end-users.
Our policy is aligned with IAB Tech Lab guidelines, TAG Certified Against Malware standards, and industry best practices.
1. Anti-Malvertising Policy
Automated Creative Scanning
All creatives submitted to our platform undergo automated scans (both pre- and post-bid) to detect malware, phishing, cloaking, and other malicious payloads. We integrate multiple third-party verification and scanning partners to strengthen detection accuracy.
Real-Time Blocking
Campaigns or creatives identified as malicious are blocked in real time at both creative and seat level. Repeated offenders are subject to permanent suspension.
Advertiser and Demand Partner Vetting
All new demand partners go through a KYC and compliance review before activation. Partners with a history of malware, arbitrage abuse, or policy violations are rejected.
Incident Response
We maintain a 24/7 abuse response team. Any publisher or partner report is escalated within 2 hours and offending creatives are immediately removed from circulation.
2. Support for Third-Party Ad Serving
- Bluesea allows trusted third-party ad serving, including ad tags, trackers, and verification pixels, provided they comply with industry standards and our platform policies.
- All tags are subject to automated scanning before approval. Creatives delivered via third-party servers must adhere to our ad format specifications and security requirements.
- We require transparency in creative declaration. Undeclared or cloaked creatives, macros, or hidden tracking elements are strictly prohibited.
3. Prevention of Specific Abuses
a. In-Banner Video Stuffing
- Our ad rendering system enforces strict creative-to-placement matching.
- Video creatives are only permitted in declared video inventory and are rejected in display placements.
- We apply creative fingerprinting to identify and block attempts of in-banner video stuffing.
b. Forced Mobile Redirects
- All mobile creatives undergo behavioral analysis in controlled browser/device environments to detect auto-redirect scripts.
- Redirects, pop-ups, or unsolicited navigation events are automatically blocked.
- Partners found to distribute redirecting creatives face immediate suspension.
c. Rotating Ads / Creative Cloaking
- Bluesea requires that every creative ID is bound to a single, static creative.
- Dynamic creative swapping, cloaking, or rotating ads without pre-declaration is prohibited.
- We enforce creative auditing with random sampling and use hash-matching to detect unauthorized rotations.
4. Monitoring, Enforcement, and Compliance
- Continuous Monitoring: We run ongoing scans across live traffic to identify policy violations.
- Publisher Feedback Loop: We provide publishers with real-time reporting tools to flag suspicious ads directly.
- Enforcement Actions: Violations may result in creative blocking, demand partner suspension, and reporting to industry bodies (IAB/TAG) if necessary.
- Audit and Certification: Bluesea periodically reviews its security measures and aims to align with TAG “Certified Against Malware” and IAB Tech Lab OpenRTB standards.
5. Commitment to Industry Best Practices
Bluesea recognizes the critical importance of trust in the programmatic ecosystem. We commit to:
- Maintaining strict ad quality policies to safeguard user experience.
- Cooperating with partners like Magnite in information sharing and coordinated enforcement.
- Evolving our detection and compliance measures as new threats emerge.
